Today the kids and I went out to the FLE garden. Mrs. Smith and I are working together on an "Okra" project. Today was our first cut of the okra. I knew the kids would get excited but I really didn't know how much. We talked a while about okra before going out. Most of the kids have never eaten okra so on Friday we will fry some to taste. We will cut some more okra on Thursday and the students can't wait.

I am very excited to see what all you learn out in the garden. Make sure to visit the media center to check out some books on all sorts of vegetables and gardening.
I am so glad you all enjoyed cutting the Okra yesterday! I can't wait for you to come to the comptuer lab next week and learn more about it!

I did not lick the ocka.I did not eat the ocka.but I did cut the ocka off it's stem.
